Want to raise strong, independent, and caring boys? It starts at home! In our Los Angeles home, I wanted to instill the value of self-care, so I placed a washer and dryer in their bathroom. Now, my boys contribute to the laundry, even hand-washing during vacations! It’s more than just chores; it’s about respecting our belongings and honoring the effort behind them. We’re breaking down gender norms and teaching acts of self-love and kindness—laundry is a group project that builds pride and confidence. True confidence comes from earned accomplishments, not ego. Here’s to fostering independence and care in every task!

Decided to live where my heart is the happiest. I came across a quote this morning: ‘The more a mother enjoys her motherhood, the more a child enjoys their childhood.’ This resonates deeply with my journey as I embrace in-person school without the fear of shootings, real food without having to search and overpay for it, and genuine healthcare without hustling hard to ensure we have it. Transitions may be tough, but my heart is full, and this feels like the best decision I’ve made in a long time.
